Azerbaijan is a very special place, it lies at the crossroads between Europe and Asia and has a unique mix of cultures and religions. The Azerbaijani language is like Turkish. Architecture, fashion, people and food are a blend of East and West. Turkish and Arabic influences together with European and Russian traits are most visible in the markets, restaurants and bazaars. The country is a wonderland of Soviet style, ancient mosques and modern monumental buildings.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel, thereafter proceed for your city tour. Icheri Sheher (Old City), known as a “fortress” – is a unique historical and architectural conservation area in the center of Baku. This is one of the ancient and densely populated places of the country and even of the Middle East. Archaeological excavations revealed burial vaults of the Bronze Age. The Maiden Tower (the 12th century) and the Shirvanshah palace (the 13th-16th century) are well-known historical monuments also locate in Old City.

Besides them there are a lot of other unique monuments of Icheri Sheher: mosques, minarets, the remnants of caravanserais "Multani" and "Bukhara", ancient baths. There are a lot of souvenir shops where you can purchase national clothes, kerchiefs, scarves and caps, dishes and handmade carpets. Walking down to Nizami Street (old trading zone with lots of shops and boutiques), Fountain Square, and shopping center “Park Boulevard”, etc. Baku Boulevard is the second largest one in Europe.
Stop for Lunch.
Baku panorama viewing with the Upland Park, and have the opportunity to look at Baku hotel complex «Flame Towers Baku» – a new business card of the city. It is interesting that lighting of Flame Towers is considered to be the best in the world according to the survey of skyscrapercity.com. The surface of the Towers is fully covered with LED screens which reflect different visual characters in motion, easily visible from the far corners of the city.
Visiting Heydar Aliyev Center - Heydar Aliyev Center represents a fluid form which emerges by the folding of the landscape’s natural topography and by the wrapping of individual functions of the Center. All functions of the Center, together with entrances, are represented by folds in a single continuous surface. This fluid form gives an opportunity to connect the various cultural spaces whilst at the same time, providing each element of the Center with its own identity and privacy. As it folds inside, the skin erodes away to become an element of the interior landscape of the Center.
An internationally recognized architectural work, the building of the Heydar Aliyev Center has become a signature landmark of modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design.
Overnight at the Hotel in Baku

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for your tour to Absheron - Visiting Azerbaijan's historical ethnographic reserve - the ancient village Gala: the center of the Absheron peninsula in the east of Azerbaijan, on a strategically important hill which dominated the area. The older part of Qala village was declared to be a historical ethnographic reserve in 1988 and encompassed 216 historical, archaeological and architectural monuments. The village has five mosques, the remains of a castle, three bathhouses, more than 170 houses, as well as mausoleums, vaults, storage lakes etc. Qala village is not, however, just a collection of monuments illustrating medieval architecture, but a complex simulating a town built in medieval Absheron. It is a rural metaphor for the Inner City and fortress at the center of Baku.
Visiting Yanardag Burning Mountain The word "Yanar" in Azeri language means "burning", and "Dagh" - "mountain". And this is real a burning mountain - not metaphorically, but literally. Once in Absheron it had been a lot of places where natural gas coming out from the earth to the surface ignited spontaneously, but with the start of mass extraction of oil and gas in Absheron these places started to disappear. At present, it is the only place of this unique natural phenomenon - the output of natural gas to the surface.
Visiting The Temple of Eternal Fire - Ateshgah - is an authentic Azerbaijani exotic. It is well-known practically all over the world. It is located 30 km from the center of Baku in the suburb of Surakhany. This territory is known for such unique natural phenomenon as burning natural gas outlets (underground gas coming onto surface contacts oxygen and lights up). The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries. It was built by the Baku-based Hindu community related to Sikhs.
After Absheron tour guests will visit several shopping malls in Baku such as “Genclik mall”, “28 mall” and Yashil bazaar where they can taste and buy local fruits, vegetables, honey and sweets of different regions of Azerbaijan. Returning back to Hotel for your overnight stay in Baku
